Football Recap: Spring Hill Falls Short of South Gibson in the Playoffs

Spring Hill and South Gibson squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Spring Hill had to settle for second. They were outmatched by the Hornets and fell 42-7. Having soared to a lofty 41 points in the game before, the Raiders couldn't push the score so high this time.

Despite the loss, Spring Hill still got an impressive performance from Lionel Brooks, who picked up 112 receiving yards and one TD, and also rushed for 30 yards. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 78 yards.

It was another big night for Tyshaun Jeter, who rushed for 112 yards and one score on only eight carries for South Gibson.

Spring Hill now has a losing record of 5-6. As for South Gibson, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-3.

Spring Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for South Gibson, they will host Springfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hornets will need to watch out since the Yellow Jackets have now posted at least 31 points in their last seven games.
