Basketball Recap: Calvary Chapel's Loss Ends Seven-Game Winning Streak at Home

Calvary Chapel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 70-44 to the Fountain Valley Barons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 72-35 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2015.

Calvary Chapel's defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-7. As for Fountain Valley, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

Calvary Chapel won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Tesoro at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Tesoro knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Calvary Chapel likes a good challenge. As for Fountain Valley, they will host Edison at 7:00 p.m. on December 18th.
