Basketball Recap: Alisal Piles Up the Points Against Salinas

Alisal was handed a heart-breaking two-point loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Salinas on Wednesday. The Alisal Trojans claimed a resounding 78-47 win over the Salinas Cowboys. The Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 21 points or more this season.

Alisal was led to victory by Misael Palafox and Kike Jacinto. Palafox dropped a triple-double on 23 points, ten rebounds, and ten assists, while Jacinto dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 boards. What's more, Jacinto also racked up four steals, the most he's had since back in February of 2024. Christian Lopez was another key player, putting up 12 points and seven rebounds.

Alisal's victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Salinas, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Alisal will head out to challenge Carmel at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Carmel will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Alisal surely won't give up without a fight. Salinas has already played their next match (against Palma), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
