Volleyball Recap: Four Straight Road Victories for Las Animas

After losing to Crowley County the last time they met, Las Animas decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Trojans walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Chargers on Saturday.

While Las Animas won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-16.

Jadann Eck paced Las Animas' offense, picking up five kills. Eck got some help from Johanna Alvarado and her four assists. Eck was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Las Animas pushed their record up to 10-13 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Crowley County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season.

As of now, neither Las Animas nor Crowley County have any future games scheduled.
