Soccer Recap: Lin-Wood Comes Up Short

If Lin-Wood was riding high fresh off their 5-2 takedown of Newfound Regional on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lumberjacks fell 4-2 to the Lisbon Panthers on Saturday. Lin-Wood were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Lisbon earlier this season, when they won 4-1.

Lin-Wood's defeat dropped their record down to 11-15-1. As for Lisbon, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Lin-Wood is set to face off against their familiar foe Colebrook Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lisbon will take on rival Groveton at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
