Champion is a perfect 3-0 against Poland Seminary since May of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Golden Flashes will challenge the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Champion is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Liberty a 6-0 shutout.

Not much got past Gabrielle Gradishar, who gave up just a hit and racked up 20 Ks to keep Liberty off the board. Gradishar has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 18 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Champion let Ava Sylvester and Taylor Rouan run wild. Sylvester went 2-for-3 with one triple and one run, while Rouan went 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That triple was Sylvester's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Josie Perhach, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one run.
Meanwhile, Poland Seminary can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. Everything went their way against Pymatuning Valley as they made off with an 11-5 win.
Madison Medvec spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits.
On the hitting side, Elliana Thompson was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Lilly Madeline was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Poland Seminary hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Champion's record is now 19-5. As for Poland Seminary, they now have a winning record of 13-12.
Wednesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Champion hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .382. However, it's not like Poland Seminary struggles in that department as they've averaged .364. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Champion took their victory against Poland Seminary when the teams last played back in May of 2018 by a conclusive 13-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Golden Flashes since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
