Baseball Recap: Hough Takes a Loss

If Hough was feeling good fresh off their 13-6 takedown of South Iredell on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Huskies lost 12-2 to the Providence Panthers on Thursday. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Huskies, who until this matchup were averaging 3.44 runs allowed.

Hough's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Providence, the victory was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-1.

Hough will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Myers Park at 6:45 p.m. on the 15th. As for Providence, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 5-0 win against Cane Bay on the 6th.
