Volleyball Recap: Sandy Takes a Loss

If Sandy was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Clackamas on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pioneers fell just short of the Corvallis Spartans by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Pioneers have struggled against the Spartans recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Sandy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Corvallis, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

Sandy has already played their next game (against Centennial), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Corvallis, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against McMinnville on the 20th.
