Whitehaven has gone 10-0 against Overton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. After both having extra time off, both will shake off the cobwebs and square off against one another at 6:00 p.m.

Whitehaven's tournament run continued when they took on Huntsville last Saturday. Whitehaven took a 37-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of Huntsville. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The losing side was boosted by La'Niyah Moore, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jala Wilson, who posted seven points.

Meanwhile, Overton posted their closest victory since February 2, 2024 last Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Houston 37-35.

Overton's win came from a few key players Whitehaven will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Dallas McElroy, who went 5 of 9 on her way to 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nia Smith, who had nine points and seven rebounds.

Whitehaven's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Overton, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Everything came up roses for Whitehaven against Overton in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 62-21 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Whitehaven since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
