Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Lewisville walked away with it. Everything went their way against the Thornwell Saints on Tuesday as they made off with a 19-3 win. Considering the Lions have won 15 contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Lewisville pushed their record up to 23-6 with the victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.9 runs over those games. As for Thornwell, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 13 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

Lewisville will face off against Ware Shoals at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Lions 3.7, the Hornets 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. Thornwell does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
