Volleyball Recap: Reavis' Luck Changes for the Better on Thursday

Reavis had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the Tinley Park Titans by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. That two set margin sets a new team best for the Rams this season.

Reavis easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-19.

Natalia Grela was nothing short of spectacular: she had 16 digs and five aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in September of 2024. Julieta Rodriguez-Velazquez also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Reavis' win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-5. As for Tinley Park, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Looking ahead, Reavis will square off against Blue Island Eisenhower at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tinley Park, they will face off against Southland College Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
