California School for the Deaf had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Wednesday. They walked away with an 8-4 win over the Head-Royce Jayhawks. Eight seems to be a good number for the Eagles as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Julianna Hammons made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). Hammons was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Destiny Wallace, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

California School for the Deaf pushed their record up to 21-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Head-Royce, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.

As of now, neither California School for the Deaf nor the Jayhawks have any future games scheduled.
