Volleyball Recap: Birchwood Comes Up Short

Birchwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 3-1 to the Flambeau Falcons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bobcats of the 3-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-15, 16-25, 25-17, 25-18.

Caiden Lindemans paced Birchwood's offense, picking up eight kills. Lindemans got some help from Alyiah Glaze and her nine assists. Glaze was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Birchwood's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Flambeau, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Coming up, Birchwood will be playing at home against Lake Holcombe at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Flambeau has already played their next contest (against Winter), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
