Soccer Recap: Hillcrest Takes a Loss

Hillcrest lost against Idaho Falls back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Knights came up short against the Tigers, falling 7-1. While losing is never fun, Hillcrest can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Idaho soccer rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while Idaho Falls are ranked seventh).

Hillcrest's goal came courtesy of David Gammon, who's now up to two this season.

Hillcrest's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6-2. As for Idaho Falls, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-1-2.

Hillcrest didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 4-0 victory against Century on the 23rd. As for Idaho Falls, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Shelley at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
