Volleyball Recap: Cajon Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Cajon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Redlands East Valley Wildcats. The Cowboys were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-18, 21-25, 25-15.

Annalisia Garcia paced Cajon's offense, picking up seven kills. Garcia got some help from Sayra Corona and her 16 assists. Finally, Manaya Odom kept Cajon's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Redlands East Valley was led to victory by Jamie Serrano and Sophia Lee. Serrano had nine digs and three aces, while Lee had 13 digs and five aces. The dominant performance also gave Serrano a new career-high in assists (20).

Cajon's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Redlands East Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season.

Cajon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Redlands on the 25th. As for Redlands East Valley, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Yucaipa on the 25th.
