Football Recap: Trinity Takes a Loss

After flying high against Keller Central last Friday, Trinity came back down to earth. The Trojans had to suffer through a 44-6 loss at the hands of the Southlake Carroll Dragons. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the Dragons recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Angelo Renda was his usual excellent self, throwing for 278 yards and three TDs while completing 81.8% of his passes, and also punching in a pair of scores on the ground for Southlake Carroll. What's more, Renda posted two rushing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. 90 of Renda's passing yards were hauled in by Brock Boyd, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Having lost for the first time this season, Trinity fell to 3-1. As for Southlake Carroll, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Trinity will take on rival Byron Nelson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Southlake Carroll is set to face off against their familiar foe Timber Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
