Basketball Recap: Mackenzie Larsen Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Scammon Bay

Chaputnguak hadn't done well against Scammon Bay recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Chaputnguak Shaman blew past the Scammon Bay Eagles 61-39. The Shaman have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Chaputnguak's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from MacKenzie Larsen, who posted 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Donetta Vaavale, who scored 14 points.

Chaputnguak pushed their record up to 8-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points over those games. As for Scammon Bay, their loss dropped their record down to 15-5.

As of now, neither Chaputnguak nor Scammon Bay have any future games scheduled.
