Basketball Game Preview: Marysville Indians vs. Mira Loma Matadors

The Marysville Indians will take on the Mira Loma Matadors at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Marysville's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests.

Last Wednesday, Marysville strolled past Colfax with points to spare, taking the game 65-51.

Marysville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jordan Brooks, who went 7 for 10 en route to 15 points and six rebounds. Brooks' evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Javeyon Brown, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine boards.

Meanwhile, Mira Loma posted their biggest win since December 18, 2023 on Wednesday. They blew past Wheatland, posting a 61-24 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Matadors.

Mira Loma's win bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Marysville, they have also been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Marysville didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Mira Loma in their previous meeting back in December of 2016, but they still walked away with a 56-51 victory.
