The Ridgefield Park Scarlets can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 38-35 win over New Milford. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Ridgefield Park has posted yet this season.

New Milford's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jake Johnson, who scored seven points along with 11 rebounds. Johnson has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Luis Placido, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and four steals.

New Milford struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
