After only six points in their last match, Oxnard made sure to put some points up on the board against Rio Mesa on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp 32-6 victory. Considering the Yellowjackets have won eight games by more than 25 points this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Oxnard didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Ameerah Phillips and Giana Mata. Phillips got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Oxnard's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Rio Mesa, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.
