Basketball Game Preview: Community Leadership Academy Lions vs. Community Christian Chargers

The Community Leadership Academy Lions will square off against the Community Christian Chargers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Saturday, Community Leadership Academy earned a 55-44 win over Franklin County. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.

Community Leadership Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Landon Ivarson, who went 5 for 12 on his way to 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Bowman Holloway, who went 6 of 13 en route to 17 points and seven boards.

Meanwhile, Community Christian can bid farewell to their 12-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Friday. They strolled past Jefferson County with points to spare, taking the game 58-39.

Community Leadership Academy is also on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 11-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points per game. As for Community Christian, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-10.
