The Dimond Lynx will take on the West Valley Wolf Pack at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Dimond is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.

Dimond heads in on the heels of a playoff game on Friday. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Service. The Lynx haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Jaden Estigo made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Meanwhile, West Valley faced Juneau-Douglas in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Wolf Pack lost 11-1 to the Crimson Bears. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Wolf Pack have suffered since April 25th.

West Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wyatt Otness, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

West Valley's loss dropped their record down to 9-6-1. As for Dimond, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-9.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Saturday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Dimond has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like West Valley struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.9 strikeouts.
