Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Mary's). They walked away with a 15-11 victory over West on Wednesday.
Ava Arucan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and ten unearned) runs on 12 hits and racked up nine Ks.
At the plate, Maya Garcia was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four runs, two triples, and four RBI. Matea Muraoka was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

St. Mary's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Kimball has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9 hits per game. It's a different story for St. Mary's, though, as they've been averaging 10.4 hits. Given Kimball's sizable advantage in that area, the Rams will need to find a way to close that gap.
Kimball beat St. Mary's 10-6 in their previous meeting on April 10th. Do the Jaguars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rams turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
