Recap: Crescent Loggers vs. Crosspoint Warriors
The Crescent Loggers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 68-22 defeat at the hands of Crosspoint. Crescent was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-9.
Despite the loss, Crescent still got an impressive performance from Ciara Cargo-Acosta, who scored six points along with six rebounds and three blocks. Cargo-Acosta scored a full 27.3% of Crescent's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Crosspoint found their leader in underclassman Anna Kuske, who scored 13 points along with four steals. Momoyo Iwata was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with eight rebounds and five steals.
Crescent's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Crosspoint, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crescent will take on Non Varsity Opponent at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Non Varsity Opponent is looking to tack on another W to their seven-game streak on the road. As for Crosspoint, they will be playing at home against Darrington at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
