It's playoff time, and Calvary Christian had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Bethlehem Christian Academy on Thursday, sneaking past  30-28. The  victory was some much needed relief for Calvary Christian as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.
It was another big night for  Jamar Williams, who rushed for 230 yards and a pair of  TDs while picking up 10.0 yards per carry, and also picked up 33 receiving yards. The dominant performance also gave  him a new career-high in  rushing touchdowns (two).
 They were just one part of a punishing run game: Calvary Christian was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 367  rushing yards. That's the most  rushing yards they've managed all season.

 Calvary Christian didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as  Williams,  Nate Osborne,  and  Nate Stokes picked up one apiece. Williams got in on the action too, converting a pick  into a touchdown.
 Bethlehem Christian Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Adian Grady, who rushed for 146 yards. Grady is becoming a predictor of Bethlehem Christian Academy's success: when he posts  at  least 80  rushing yards the team is 5-1 (and 2-3 when he doesn't).
Calvary Christian now  has a winning record of 6-5. As for Bethlehem Christian Academy,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 7-4.
 Looking ahead, Calvary Christian will challenge Stratford Academy on Friday. The Knights will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least 31  points  in their last three contests. Bethlehem Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
