Baseball Recap: Fairview Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Fairview came tearing into Thursday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Centaurus Warriors as they made off with a 14-2 victory. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Jacob Jaramillo looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Grayson Dinges and Skyler Daniel did most of the damage at the plate: Dinges went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one run, and one double, while Daniel went a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those three RBI gave Dinges a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Asher Allen, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI.

Fairview always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .611. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Centaurus only posted an OBP of .350.

Fairview's record now sits at 14-6. As for Centaurus, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-14.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Fairview is set to take on their familiar foe Horizon at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Centaurus will face off against rival Monarch at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
