After losing to Cabrillo the last time they met, Palos Verdes decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Palos Verdes Sea Kings walked away with a 78-70 win over the Cabrillo Jaguars on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Sea Kings.

Several Jaguars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mason Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 15 rebounds. That's the most boards Johnson has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Lincoln Dean, who posted 16 points and six assists.

Palos Verdes' victory bumped their record up to 13-10. As for Cabrillo, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Palos Verdes will face off against Mira Costa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cabrillo has already played their next game (against Lakewood), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
