Football Game Preview: De Leon Bearcats vs. Frankston Indians + How To Watch

The De Leon Bearcats will square off against the Frankston Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

De Leon is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 30-28 win over Wolfe City. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Bearcats' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 305th, while the Wolves are ranked 710th).

De Leon got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Colt Schwertner out in front who rushed for 69 yards and one TD. Max Jones got in on the action as well, returning a kick for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Frankston strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 69-29 win over Bosqueville. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Indians had established a 26-point advantage.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Bo Donnell and Michael Bryant. Donnell rushed for 258 yards and five scores on only 15 carries while Bryant rushed for 238 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries. Carson Bizzell was another key player, rushing for 84 yards and a pair of TDs.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Frankston was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 640 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bosqueville only rushed for 92.

De Leon's record now sits at 8-3. As for Frankston, their record is now 11-0.
