Volleyball Recap: Dougherty Valley Comes Up Short

Dougherty Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Bishop O'Dowd Dragons.

While Dougherty Valley ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-23, 25-23.

Dougherty Valley's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Bishop O'Dowd, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

After both having extra time off, Dougherty Valley and San Ramon Valley will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bishop O'Dowd, they will square off against Berkeley at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
