Basketball Recap: Morgan Milbrett and Lucie Burruss Secure Win for Mapleton

There's no place like home for Mapleton, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They took down the Falls City/Kings Valley Charter Mountaineers 47-32 on Tuesday. The Sailors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mountaineers, too.

Mapleton was led to victory by Lucie Burruss and Morgan Milbrett. Burruss almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds, while Milbrett dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten boards. Burruss is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Abbi Mendez Galvan, who posted eight points and seven boards.

Mapleton is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Falls City/Kings Valley Charter, they now have a losing record at 8-9.

Mapleton will be playing in front of their home fans against Eddyville at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Falls City/Kings Valley Charter, they will challenge Lewis Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
