Softball Recap: Pender Gets the Win

Pender posted their closest win since March 20th on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over the Whiteville Wolfpack. This was a revenge game for the Patriots: when they faced off against the Wolfpack on Friday, they had to take a 2-1 defeat.

Kimora Mcallister was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Jayda Tozour was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Pender's win bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Whiteville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

Pender wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 6-1 victory against West Columbus on the 14th. As for Whiteville, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 5-3 loss against East Bladen on the 14th.
