If Taylor wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Trenton, they should've done a better job of containing Anthony Hawkins. The Trojans breezed past the Griffins to the tune of 48-20 on Friday with plenty of help from Hawkins, who rushed for 184 yards and three scores on only 12 carries, and also threw for 72 yards and one touchdown on only five passes. He has become a key player for Trenton: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.

Trenton didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Tyler Crook and Niko Beaudrie.

The win got Trenton back to even at 3-3. As for Taylor, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trenton will welcome Anderson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Taylor, they will host Tecumseh at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
