With a new high school sports year just around the corner, we take a look back at the top photos from 2017-18 as captured by members of the MaxPreps Professional Photographers Network.

Photographers in the network submitted images for consideration from pro galleries on MaxPreps that were published between Aug. 1, 2017 and June 30, 2018.

Those submissions were pared down to the 20 best images of the sports year and are in no particular order.
