Basketball Recap: Shullsburg Comes Up Short

Shullsburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 62-52 to Albany/Monticello. While losing is never fun, the Miners can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 88th, while Albany/Monticello are ranked 32nd).

Shullsburg's loss dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Albany/Monticello, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 22-1.

Shullsburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Albany/Monticello, they will venture away from home to challenge Juda at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
