Baseball Game Preview: St. Maries Lumberjacks vs. Kellogg Wildcats

The St. Maries Lumberjacks will challenge the Kellogg Wildcats at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with seven consecutive losses for St. Maries and six for Kellogg.

St. Maries lost 26-2 to Orofino on Saturday.

St. Maries saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Brown, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Kellogg came up short against Bonners Ferry on Thursday, falling 12-2.

St. Maries' defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Kellogg, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11.

Kellogg's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: St. Maries has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .440. It's a different story for Kellogg, though, as they've only averaged .298. Will they be able to contain St. Maries' hitters?
