DeWitt is a perfect 10-0 against Waverly since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The DeWitt Panthers are taking a road trip to challenge the Waverly Warriors at 6:00 p.m. DeWitt is coming into the contest hot, having won their last 17 games.

Last Tuesday, DeWitt strolled past Byron Center with points to spare, taking the game 44-30. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 13th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 382nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Waverly suffered their biggest loss since December 7, 2024 on Tuesday. They lost 61-40 to St. Johns. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Redwings recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Waverly now has a losing record of 9-10. As for DeWitt, their victory was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-1.

DeWitt beat Waverly 48-38 in their previous meeting back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for DeWitt since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
