Baseball Game Preview: Loomis Chaffee School Pelicans vs. Westminster School Martlets

The Loomis Chaffee School Pelicans will venture away from home to face off against the Westminster School Martlets at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. Westminster School took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Loomis Chaffee School, who comes in off a win.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Loomis Chaffee School and Kent School meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Pelicans put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 12-4 victory.

Meanwhile, Westminster School came up short against Kingswood Oxford on Friday, falling 7-1. That's two games in a row now that the Martlets have lost by exactly six runs.

Loomis Chaffee School's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Westminster School, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Loomis Chaffee School might still be hurting after the 16-2 defeat they got from Westminster School when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Pelicans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
