Football Game Recap: Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS vs. Algona

Algona were the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. They were fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS 65-22. Followers of Algona probably expected little less of the squad in a season in which they have collected three blowout victories.

The win bumped Algona's record up to 6-0. The loss dropped Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS's record to 2-4.

Algona will be staying on the road next week, facing off against Lincoln Central. Algona are cruising in on a six-game winning streak while Lincoln Central are stumbling in off of four consecutive losses. As for Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS, they will face off against Spirit Lake. Given that they both suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
