Millersport had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They blew past the Miller Falcons 17-3. Considering the Lakers have won ten matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Kendyl Bonkowski made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.

In other batting news, Emma Raver and Claire Haney did most of the damage at the plate: Raver went 3-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and one double, while Haney got on base in all five of her plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Scarlet Sheets was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Millersport was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Miller only posted a batting average of .250.

Millersport's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-2. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.7 runs over those games. As for Miller, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.

Millersport has already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Nelsonville-York on the 19th. As for Miller, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 26-15 win against Harvest Prep on the 21st.
