Xavier put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over the Ames Little Cyclones. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Saints have posted since June 5th.

Xavier pushed their record up to 20-0 with the win, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Ames, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-5.

Xavier has already played their next contest, a 9-0 victory against Boone on the 14th. As for Ames, they will face off against Roosevelt at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
