Basketball Recap: Bluffton Tigers vs. Northfield Norsemen
Bluffton won the last time they faced Northfield, and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bluffton Tigers breezed by the Northfield Norsemen to the tune of 76-42. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.
Leading Bluffton to victory were Khloe Dick and Isabella Stout. Dick went 8 for 17 en route to 21 points plus five steals, while Stout had 23 points plus seven rebounds and two steals. Stout is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Konley Ault, who earned ten points along with three steals.
Bluffton was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northfield only posted seven.
Despite the loss, Northfield still got an impressive performance from Elli Baker, who went 8 for 13 en route to 24 points plus six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Teagan Baer, who had nine points plus six rebounds.
Bluffton's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Northfield, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bluffton will head out to square off against East Noble at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Northfield, they are on the road again on Friday to play Oak Hill at 7:00 p.m.
