Softball Recap: Davenport Sets Scoring Season-High Against Navarro

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Davenport). They blew past the Navarro Panthers 22-2 on Friday. The Wolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by seven runs or more this season.

Davenport got a massive performance out of KINLEY Keller, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Addi Willis, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and four RBI.

Davenport hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in 17 consecutive matches.

Davenport is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. Navarro dropped their record down to 1-9-1 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Davenport didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-6 loss against Fredericksburg on the 20th. Navarro has also already played their next match (against Canyon Lake), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
