Baseball Recap: Mount Morris Comes Up Short

Mount Morris lost against Hammondsport on Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Blue Devils came up short against the Lakers, falling 17-2. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mount Morris saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaiden Davis, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Mount Morris' loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Hammondsport, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mount Morris will venture away from home to face off against Avon at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Blue Devils are facing the Braves at the right time seeing as the Braves are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Hammondsport, they are taking a road trip to square off against Arkport Central at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bluejays' pitching crew has only allowed 1.6 runs per game this season, so the Lakers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
