Basketball Recap: Kotzebue Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Kotzebue can now relate to. They had to suffer through a 78-14 loss at the hands of the Barrow Whalers. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Whalers this season, with their most recent loss being a 75-12 defeat two weeks ago.

Kotzebue has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season. Barrow's win was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-4.

Looking ahead, Kotzebue won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Mt. Edgecumbe at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Barrow does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
