Basketball Recap: El Toro Triumphs

El Toro won the last time they faced Mission Viejo and things went their way on Wednesday too. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, the El Toro Chargers made off with a 50-49 win over the Mission Viejo Diablos.

Mission Viejo's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Xander Willard, who posted 14 points. Another player making a difference was Damian Navarro, who scored 12 points.

El Toro's victory bumped their record up to 15-11. As for Mission Viejo, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-16.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Beckman the next time they take the court. El Toro will head out to face Beckman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Mission Viejo will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
