Baseball Recap: North Star Cougars vs. Windber Ramblers

North Star managed to slip by Windber the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Cougars came up short against the Ramblers on Tuesday, falling 14-7. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Ramblers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Andrew Retassie made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Nate Orris, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

North Star has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for Windber, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-9.

Windber has already played their next game, a 6-5 victory against Blacklick Valley on the 6th. Hopefully North Star paid attention to the Ramblers' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Ramblers at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
