            Softball Recap: Hollister Haybalers vs. North Salinas Vikings        
        
		
        
        
            Hollister won against Everett Alvarez  last Wednesday with four  runs and they decided to stick to that  run total again  on Friday. The Haybalers beat the North Salinas Vikings by the very same score they won with in their prior game:  4-2. The  win continues a trend for the Haybalers in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won seven in a row.
 Eliana Hatchett spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned  (and one unearned) run on six hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent  recently: she hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in four consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Sophia Galindo was  excellent,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3.  Ashlee Io also deserves some recognition as  she  hit her first  triple of the season.

Those  home  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games.  Hollister wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  match,  a  2-1  victory against Los Gatos on the 5th. As for North Salinas, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  game,  a  2-1  loss against Everett Alvarez on the 7th.
