Basketball Recap: Sacred Heart Makes It Six in a Row at Home

Sacred Heart entered their tilt with Southern on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Southern Raiders with a sharp 44-24 win. Given the Irish's advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 37th, while the Raiders are ranked 214th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sacred Heart's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.2 points per game. As for Southern, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-12.
