Recap: Los Fresnos Falcons vs. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Bears
The Los Fresnos Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 23 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 86-30 win over Pharr-San Juan-Alamo at home. With Los Fresnos ahead 41-15 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Gio Galvan was his usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals. The game was his 24th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jj Salazar, who scored 12 points along with nine assists and eight rebounds.
Los Fresnos' win bumped their record up to 19-6. As for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo, their loss was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 7-17.
Los Fresnos will square off against Economedes at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Economedes will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1168th, while Los Fresnos is ranked 377th). As for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo, they will be playing at home against San Perlita at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
