Volleyball Recap: Stonebridge's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Eight

StoneBridge strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past the Norfolk Christian Ambassadors 3-0. The Cavaliers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Ambassadors, too.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-10, 25-14.

StoneBridge's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Libbie Plumlee, who had 11 digs and two aces. What's more, Plumlee posted three assists, the most she's had over her last eight matchups. Selah Telfer was another key player, getting 23 assists and three digs.

StoneBridge's victory bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Norfolk Christian, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-2.

Coming up, StoneBridge will venture away from home to take on Denbigh Baptist Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Norfolk Christian, they will face off against TEACH Homeschool at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
